Which whey grade
WPC80 Instant for a creamy everyday shake, WPI90 Instant for a lean isolate shake, Clear WPI90 for a juice-style drink, goat whey for a specialist shelf. Not sure: the grade finder answers it in three questions.
From the first brief to a pallet of tubs with your label: what happens in which week, what the minimum is, which decisions are yours, and what the cost of a finished tub is made of. Built on our own supply of EU whey protein.

Nordic Life Systems makes protein powder under your brand from 500 units per SKU: flavoured whey shakes on WPC80 Instant, isolate shakes on WPI90 Instant, clear whey drinks and goat whey shakes. The first production is ready 8 to 10 weeks after the brief, including formula, samples and label check; repeat orders take 6 to 8 weeks. The protein comes from our own EU dairy supply, and every batch is released with a Certificate of Analysis. Each product is quoted in writing on its own specification; the cost of a 1 kg tub is about 60% protein and 40% six further lines.
One project owner from the first call to the delivered pallet. You approve each step before the next one starts.

Products, flavours, target market, price point and first volume. A short call or a few lines in the form below is enough.
Recipe, protein per serving, the label text and a written specification, with each cost line shown separately.
Flavour samples for tasting rounds with your team, then a pilot batch for your approval.
Blending, filling, sealing, labelling and release with a Certificate of Analysis for the batch.
Protein and packaging planned ahead against your forecast, so reorders do not wait for the next dairy allocation.
A finished product is counted in units, the protein itself in kilograms. Both routes run on the same EU whey supply.
This is how the cost of a 1 kg tub of flavoured whey protein typically splits at a first run of 500 units. We do not publish white-label prices: every product is quoted in writing on its own specification.
| Cost line | What is in it | Share |
|---|---|---|
| Whey protein | About 850 g WPC80 Instant at the current market reference | ~60% |
| Other ingredients | Flavour, sweetener, thickener, lecithin, and vitamins or creatine if specified | ~5% |
| Packaging | Tub, lid, induction seal, scoop, label, shipper carton | ~7% |
| Manufacturing | Blending, filling, sealing, labelling, packing; line set-up spread over 500 units | ~9% |
| Quality and release | Raw-material CoA check, batch analysis, release, retained samples, traceability | ~4% |
| Development and compliance | Recipe, samples, label check against EU rules; spread over the first run | ~10% |
| Logistics | Pallet, transport to your warehouse, insurance | ~5% |
Reorders cost less, because development is paid once and the line set-up spreads over more units. How the whey price itself moves: whey protein price report.

Tubs, pouches and single-serve sticks: unbranded formats, filled and labelled under your brand.
We recommend, you decide. Each choice changes the label, the cost and the time to shelf a little.

Chocolate and vanilla carry about half the German market; pistachio, salted caramel and iced coffee are the current movers. Sucralose with acesulfame K is the standard, steviol glycosides for a natural line. Flavour library: sports catalogue.
Tubs of 500 g to 1 kg, resealable pouches, or single-serve sticks for samples and gyms.
EU nutrition declaration, allergen marking and only authorised claims. We check the label before print.

Every product is quoted in writing on its own specification, so we do not publish prices. As a guide to the structure: in a 1 kg tub of flavoured whey at a first run of 500 units, the protein is about 60% of the ex-works cost, and packaging, manufacturing, quality, development and logistics make up the other 40%. Reorders cost less per unit.
500 units per SKU. Each flavour and each pack size counts as its own SKU. If you want the protein itself for your own production, bulk whey starts at 300 kg.
