Technical data sheet per strain
Identity, declared potency, carrier, storage conditions and handling recommendations, on one document you can put in your specification.
Bulk freeze-dried probiotic cultures with a declared potency (live-cell count), from lactobacilli and bifidobacteria to spore-formers and yeast. Every strain comes with a technical data sheet, and the wider collection is open for custom requests.
Potency is the declared number of live cells in the bulk powder, given in colony-forming units per gram (CFU/g). Strain codes are our collection references and appear on every data sheet and certificate.

Identity, declared potency, carrier, storage conditions and handling recommendations, on one document you can put in your specification.
Species-level identification for every strain in the catalogue, so the name on your label matches what is in the powder.
Each batch comes with a Certificate of Analysis (CoA) that checks it against its specification.
Single strains as bulk freeze-dried powder, custom multi-strain blends or ready-to-use premixes.
Heat-treated specifications for formats and storage conditions where live cells are impractical.
A bulk powder declared at 100 billion CFU/g delivers 10 billion CFU in 100 mg. That is what goes in. The count on your finished product is always set lower than that, because live cells decline over shelf life. The difference is the overage (the extra amount added at production), and choosing it well is the key skill.
How much overage a product needs depends on the strain, the format, the water activity (free moisture) of the blend, the packaging and the shelf life you want to print. Robust strains in a dry capsule and a good pack need far less than sensitive strains in a sachet with fruit powder.
We calculate it per product and agree it in the specification, so the declared count is built to hold until the end of shelf life. See how that works in probiotic contract manufacturing.
In 2020 scientists split the old genus Lactobacillus (a genus is a group of related species) into 25 smaller genera, based on whole-genome analysis (Zheng et al., International Journal of Systematic and Evolutionary Microbiology, 2020). L. plantarum became Lactiplantibacillus plantarum, L. rhamnosus became Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus, L. reuteri became Limosilactobacillus reuteri. Species such as L. acidophilus, L. gasseri and L. helveticus kept the old genus name.
Some other names changed as well: Bacillus coagulans is now Heyndrickxia coagulans and Bacillus megaterium is Priestia megaterium.
The strains did not change, only their names. We list both, so your specification, your label and your customers’ searches all line up.
Not automatically. Many lactic acid bacteria, bifidobacteria and several Bacillus species hold QPS status (Qualified Presumption of Safety) from EFSA, the European Food Safety Authority, while others, for example some Enterococcus or Clostridium uses, need a case-by-case assessment and can require authorisation as a novel food. We check each strain against the rules of your target markets before formulation starts.
Yes. The list shows the strains we keep documented with declared potency. The collection behind it holds more than 2,000 characterised strains; tell us the species or the property you need and we check availability.
Yes: custom multi-strain blends, premixes with fibres or other carriers, or the finished product itself. Finished probiotic products start at 60,000 capsules or 300,000 stick sachets.
These two strains are protected by patents (references CN2018 and CN1566). Details are part of the technical documentation we share on request.
Freeze-dried cultures are sensitive to moisture and heat. Storage and transport conditions are stated on each data sheet; we plan shipping so the cultures arrive within them.
Send a few lines about your product: format, market, rough volume. Minimum orders: 500 units per SKU for sports nutrition, 60,000 capsules or 300,000 stick sachets for probiotics. You get an answer within two working days.
